The system specified by Rapid for this project was a ducted heating and cooling system with a highly efficient heat recovery fresh air supply and extraction system. It also had to incorporate a specialist close control system to maintain optimal temperatures within the large IT suite.

Barry Cheek, Construction Director at Weston Homes, commented: “Our new building contains a lot of glass meaning that there is the potential in summer for temperatures to become uncomfortably hot. This, along with the economies of scale of a single installation, was key to our decision to go for a combined heating and cooling system”.

What they say:

“We were delighted with Rapid’s innovative approach to the challenge we had set and with the final solution, which has combined functionality with efficiency and reliability at a highly competitive cost”.
